Walton Rocks

Walton Rocks is a South Florida surf spot located near St. Lucie Inlet / Jensen Beach area on the east coast of Florida. It’s known more as a beachbreak with occasional inlet influence than a high-performance, consistent wave zone.

What it’s like

• Wave type: Mostly sandbar beachbreak
• Best swell direction: Typically does best with east to northeast swells
• Wind: West to northwest offshore winds are generally best
• Tide: Can be tide-sensitive; many surfers prefer mid to incoming tide, depending on sand and swell
• Wave quality: Usually small to moderate, but it can shape up nicely when conditions line up

• More of a localized, fickle Florida spot than a guaranteed break
• Can produce fun peaks and short rides, especially when a clean swell hits
