Surf beach

Surf Beach, Santa Barbara County, California is a remote, naturally beautiful stretch of coastline on California’s Central Coast, just west of Lompoc and north of Point Conception. It’s known more for its dramatic scenery and powerful surf than for being a beginner-friendly beach break.

Surf characteristics

Surf Beach can produce punchy, powerful waves, especially when a solid swell hits. It’s better suited to experienced surfers because conditions can change quickly and the waves may close out or break heavily on certain sandbars. The beach also has a reputation for strong currents and less forgiving surf.
