Jug Handle State Beach

Jug Handle State Beach is a scenic, relatively undeveloped surf spot on California’s North Coast in Mendocino County, just south of Fort Bragg. It sits along a rugged stretch of coastline known for dramatic scenery, cold water, and powerful Pacific swells.

• Best on: West and northwest swells

What to expect
