Pease Bay

Pease Bay is a scenic surf spot on the southeast coast of Scotland, near the Borders / northeast England area, set in a wide bay backed by cliffs and farmland. It’s one of the more consistent waves in the region thanks to its exposed position to the North Sea, and it can handle a range of swell directions depending on size and period.

• Mostly a beach break with some rocky sections nearby.
• Can produce clean, rideable peaks across the bay when conditions line up.
• Best on clean E to NE swells with a good offshore or light offshore wind.

Conditions

• Works best at mid to high tide, though it can still be surfable through a range of tides depending on sand movement.
• Can get powerful and hollow when bigger, but is often more of a fun, workable wave than a heavy barrelling one.
• Exposure means it can be windy, cold, and choppy quickly.
