The Barracks

Taiwan’s northeast coast gets exposed to typhoon swells in summer and early autumn, as well as winter northeast monsoon energy, so The Barracks can come alive with strong, hollow, or rippable waves depending on the season. The atmosphere is usually more rugged and natural than heavily developed surf destinations, with rocky coastlines, dramatic scenery, and a local-community feel.
