Anse des Lézards, St. Barthélemy is a beautiful but fairly lightweight, condition-dependent surf spot on the island’s north coast. It’s more of a small wave / longboard / funboard break than a heavy, consistent high-performance surf spot.

What it’s like

Setting: A scenic bay with clear water, rocky edges, and a relaxed, off-the-beaten-path feel.
Wave quality: Generally small to moderate when working, with the best surf arriving on N to NE swells.
Consistency: Not super consistent; it needs the right swell angle and period to come alive.
Wave type: Typically a soft, peeling beachbreak or reef-influenced wave, depending on sand and swell conditions.
Best for: Beginners to intermediate surfers, longboarders, and anyone looking for mellow Caribbean waves.

Conditions and hazards
