The Point, South Africa (Jeffreys Bay / J-Bay) is one of the most famous right-hand point breaks in the world. It’s part of the legendary Jeffrey’s Bay stretch, known for long, fast, barreling walls and world-class performance surfing.

What it’s like to surf

The Point offers long rides with multiple sections, allowing for big carving turns, speed generation, and occasional barrels. On a good swell, it can peel for a long distance, making it a dream wave for high-performance shortboarding. Because of the speed and the strong current, positioning and wave knowledge are important.
