Dungeons is one of the most famous big-wave surf spots in Cape Town, South Africa, located just off Hout Bay at the base of the Sentinel. It’s known worldwide for producing heavy, powerful left-hand reef waves that can get very large during the South African winter swell season.

Hazards

Dungeons is considered extremely dangerous: - Powerful waves over shallow reef - Strong currents and heavy water movement - Cold Atlantic water - Rocky coastline and difficult exits - Risk increases dramatically when the swell is large
