Intendance, Mahé (Seychelles) is one of the best-known surf spots in the Seychelles, located on the southwest coast of Mahé near Anse Intendance. It’s a scenic, tropical beach break with powerful surf when the right swell arrives.

• On good days, the waves can be fast, powerful, and quite hollow, with sections suitable for turns and occasional barrels.
• Because it’s a beach break, conditions can change quickly and the lineup can be inconsistent.

• Rip currents and heavy shorebreak can be an issue.

• Seychelles surf is generally more reliable during the Austral winter and transition periods, especially when Indian Ocean swells reach the islands.
• Intendance can pick up surf when other local spots are flat, making it one of the more dependable breaks on Mahé when swell is present.
