Les Brisants is one of Réunion Island’s better-known surf spots, located on the island’s west coast near Saint-Gilles-les-Bains / Boucan Canot area.

What to expect

Les Brisants is a powerful reef break with fast, punchy waves that can offer long rides when the sand/reef setup and swell direction are right. It’s known for producing clean, hollow sections at times, but it can also become quite fickle and demanding. Because it breaks over reef, the wave can be shallow and unforgiving, especially at lower tides.
