Survival is a well-known surf break in Puerto Rico, most often associated with the north coast near Aguadilla/Isabela area. It’s a powerful reef break that can deliver fast, hollow waves, especially when the swell is right. The spot is known for being challenging and heavy, so it’s best suited for experienced surfers rather than beginners.

What to expect

Wave type: Fast, steep reef waves with good barrels on the right conditions
Best swell: North to northwest swells
Wind: Offshores or light winds are ideal
