Sheraton

Sheraton (Puerto Rico) is generally a shorebreak/reef break near the San Juan area, often associated with the Carolina / Isla Verde / Condado surf zone depending on local usage. It’s not a classic beginner-friendly wave; conditions can vary a lot with swell direction, tide, and local wind.

What it’s like

• Wave type: Mostly a reef break or punchy shorebreak-style wave
• Best swell: Usually works best with north to northeast swell
• Wind: Light offshore or low wind is best; strong trades can make it messy
• Tide: Tide can matter a lot; some spots in this area are better on mid tide
• Power: Can be fast and shallow, with a decent amount of consequence

Surf quality

• On good days, it can produce clean, hollow, quick waves
• On average days, it may be short, sectiony, or bumpy
• Because it’s in a populated coastal area, it can get crowded when conditions line up

Good for

• Intermediate to advanced surfers
• Surfers comfortable handling shallow takeoffs and reef awareness
