Praia da leirosa

Praia da Leirosa is a beach surf spot on Portugal’s central coast, in the North Beira / Coimbra district area, between Figueira da Foz and Aveiro.

Surf characteristics

• Beach break with shifting sandbanks
• Usually works best with mid to higher tide
• Can handle swells from the NW to W
• Often best when the swell is clean and moderate, as bigger swell can make it messy or too strong
• Wave quality depends a lot on sand movement, so conditions can change quickly
