Praia da Rocha is a famous long sandy beach on the western edge of Portimão in the Algarve. It’s more known as a lively resort beach than a hardcore surf destination, but it can still pick up decent waves when Atlantic swells line up.

Beachbreak: Soft sand bottom, so the waves are generally forgiving.
