Villa

Villa, Lima, Peru is a well-known surf zone on Lima’s southern coast, offering powerful Pacific swell and a raw, urban-beach atmosphere. It’s part of the long stretch of coastline in the Villa El Salvador / Punta Hermosa corridor.

What it’s like

• Wave type: Mostly fast, punchy beach-break conditions, with occasional longer-running sections when the sandbars line up.
• Consistency: Peru’s coast gets very regular swell, especially in the Southern Hemisphere winter, so Villa can be quite reliable when conditions are right.
• Power: Can be heavy and energetic, especially on bigger south swells.
• Best for: Intermediate to advanced surfers, though conditions can vary enough that stronger beginner surfers may find smaller days manageable.

• Swells: Works best with south and southwest swell.
• Wind: Usually best with light offshore or calm morning winds before the afternoon seabreeze kicks in.
