Escolleras

Escolleras (Mexico, Gulf of Mexico) is a well-known surf break near the mouth of a river/port area on Mexico’s Gulf coast, best known for its powerful sandbar/jetty waves that can get surprisingly good when the sand lines up. “Escolleras” usually refers to the jetties or breakwaters that shape the surf.
