Punta Conejo

Punta Conejo is a well-known surf point in Baja California Sur, Mexico, located on the Pacific side near La Paz / Pescadero area rather than the sea of Cortez. It’s a classic point break that can produce long, fast, peeling right-hand waves, especially on the right swell and tide combination.

What it’s like

• Wave type: Predominantly a right-hand point break
• Best conditions: Usually works best with a south or southwest swell and favorable winds, often light offshore or clean winds
• Wave quality: Can offer long rides, smooth walls, and sections suitable for trimming, carving, and sometimes more powerful turns
