Raul's

Raul’s is a well-known point break in Baja Norte, Mexico, on the Pacific coast south of the U.S. border. It’s part of the classic Northern Baja surf run and is typically exposed to Northwest and West swell, making it a dependable wave during the fall, winter, and spring months.

What it’s like

• Wave type: Mostly a right-hand point/reef-style wave
• Best conditions: Clean NW–W swell with light offshore winds, usually from the east or northeast
• Wave quality: Can offer long, peeling rides with good shape when the sand/reef lines up
• Crowds: Can get busy when conditions are good, especially with experienced local surfers

Spot character

Raul’s is generally considered a serious, performance-oriented wave rather than a beginner spot. It can be fast, hollow, and powerful on bigger days, with sections that require commitment and good positioning. On smaller, cleaner days it can be more user-friendly, but it still tends to favor surfers who are comfortable in punchy point break conditions.
