Maconde

Macondé is a surf spot on the south coast of Mauritius, near the village of Baie du Cap. It’s known for its dramatic scenery, powerful wave action, and exposed reef setup.

What it’s like

Macondé sits on a rugged coastline with a scenic headland and deep-blue water. When the swell lines up, it can produce clean, fast lefts and rights over reef, but it’s not an easy, forgiving wave. The takeoff can be critical, and the break can be unforgiving at lower tide or when the swell gets big.
