Desaru

Desaru, Malaysia is a beach break on the southeastern coast of Peninsular Malaysia, along the South China Sea in Johor. It’s known more for relaxed tropical beach vibes than for heavy, consistent surf, but when conditions line up it can offer fun, user-friendly waves.

What it feels like

Desaru tends to be a fun, mellow tropical surf spot rather than a high-performance wave. On good days you may find easy peelers, soft takeoffs, and short rides suitable for longboarding or learning. On average days it may be quite flat or wind-affected.
