Palmu Licis

Palmu Līcis is a surf spot on Latvia’s Baltic coast, best known as a windswell and storm-swell beach break rather than a classic tropical surf destination. Like much of Latvia, it’s highly seasonal and weather-dependent: when the Baltic is calm, it’s flat; when strong low-pressure systems move through, it can produce fun, fast waves.

Palmu Līcis has more of a wild, cold-water, north-European surf feel than a warm-water surf scene. Sessions can be very atmospheric, with shifting sandbanks, cold air, and strong Baltic weather patterns shaping the surf.
