Riccione is a well-known beach town on Italy’s Adriatic coast, just south of Rimini. It’s not a heavy-duty surf destination, but it can work for small-to-moderate wind swell and is often surfed when conditions line up along the Adriatic.

What to expect

• Best for: Beginners, longboarders, and intermediate surfers looking for fun, manageable waves
