Padang Galak

Padang Galak is a surf spot on the east coast of Bali, Indonesia, near Sanur/Denpasar. It’s best known as a beach break with a fast, punchy waves that can handle a decent amount of swell, making it a fun but often challenging spot.

• Dry season (roughly April to October): Often the most reliable for clean conditions on Bali’s east side
• Morning sessions: Frequently best, especially if winds are light or offshore

Vibe and setting

Padang Galak is close to urban Bali, so the setting is less tropical-postcard and more local/coastal. It’s still a useful wave when the swell is right and can be a good alternative when the more famous spots are crowded.
