Voulisma Beach (Crete, Greece) is a beautiful, sheltered Mediterranean beach on the northeast coast of Crete, near the village of Istron and close to Agios Nikolaos. It’s famous for its turquoise water, soft golden sand, and scenic bay setting.

Surf conditions

Not a classic surf break: Voulisma is generally not known for reliable wave surfing because the Mediterranean usually has limited swell compared to ocean coastlines.
Best for: Stand-up paddleboarding, swimming, bodyboarding, and beginner-friendly water sessions when conditions are calm.
Wind impact: On windy days, the bay can get choppy, and short-period wind waves may form, but they’re usually not ideal for proper surf rides.
