Stalida Beach (Stalis), Crete, Greece is a long, sandy resort beach on the north coast of Crete, near Malia and Hersonissos. It’s better known as a beachbreak / small-wave beginner spot than a serious surf destination.

Surf characteristics

Wave quality: Generally small and mellow
Best for: Beginners, longboarders, bodyboarders, and casual paddling
Wave type: Mostly soft, wind- and swell-dependent beachbreak
Consistency: Not very reliable for surfing; conditions can be flat for long periods
Wind: The north coast is often affected by the meltemi wind in summer, which can make the water choppy
