Taharaa Reef

Taharaa Reef is a reef break on the island of Tahiti, French Polynesia, near the northwestern side of the main island. It’s part of Tahiti’s famously powerful South Pacific surf scene, where waves break over sharp coral reef and can get fast, hollow, and challenging.

Conditions

Like many Tahitian spots, Taharaa Reef can offer clean, well-shaped waves when the wind is light or offshore, but it may become unruly or dangerous when swell and wind are too strong.
