Côte Sauvage – Le 43 is a well-known surf spot on the wild Atlantic coast of Charente-Maritime, France, on the Côte Sauvage near the Royan / Saint-Palais-sur-Mer area.

• Type: Open beachbreak / exposed Atlantic coast
• Wave quality: Can be very good with W to NW swell, often producing fast, punchy waves

• Wind: Light offshore or side-offshore, typically E to NE

• Wave character: Powerful, sometimes hollow, and can be sectiony or shifting because the sandbanks move a lot
• Consistency: Fairly consistent thanks to the exposure to Atlantic swells, but the quality depends heavily on sandbank shape and wind
