Ox Carts is a playful, uncrowded surf break on Ngwe Saung Beach along Myanmar’s western coastline. The spot is known for its long sandy stretch, warm tropical water, and a mellow beachbreak feel that can offer fun, workable waves when conditions line up. It’s generally best in the dry season and during swell windows, with smaller to moderate surf being the most consistent.

The wave quality can be inconsistent, but when it’s on, Ox Carts can produce friendly, rideable peaks suitable for intermediate surfers and adventurous beginners in manageable conditions. The sandy bottom makes it relatively forgiving, and the lack of heavy crowds is one of its biggest draws.

Expect a laid-back, remote atmosphere rather than a polished surf destination. Infrastructure around Ngwe Saung is still developing compared with better-known surf regions, so surfers often come for the quiet beaches, tropical setting, and the novelty of surfing in an under-the-radar part of Southeast Asia.
