Varvara, Bulgaria is a small Black Sea surf spot near the village of Varvara in southeastern Bulgaria, not far from Tsarevo and Ahtopol. It’s a more low-key, local-feeling break compared with the busier Bulgarian beach towns.

What it’s like

Type of spot: Mainly a wind-driven beach break / shore break on the Black Sea
Best conditions: Works when a strong wind system brings enough swell, especially during stormy periods
Wave quality: Usually small to moderate, but can get decent and playful when the Black Sea is active
Crowds: Generally less crowded than better-known Bulgarian surf or kite spots

The Black Sea is not a consistent surf destination, so waves are seasonal and weather-dependent
