Peasholm Dog Beach

Peasholm Dog Beach is a small, local beach on the Perth coastline that’s better known as a relaxed dog-friendly stretch than a classic surf destination. Conditions here are typically small and inconsistent, with waves that are usually best suited to beginner or casual surfers when there’s some swell running. Because it sits on a relatively sheltered section of coast, it generally doesn’t get the bigger, more reliable surf found at Perth’s more exposed breaks.

The beach is more often used for swimming, walking, and off-leash dog time than serious surfing, so expect a laid-back atmosphere and limited surf-specific facilities. If a swell lines up, you may find soft, mellow waves, but it’s not the kind of spot that regularly holds quality surf.
