Three Bears

Three Bears is a well-known surf break in Margaret River North, Western Australia, on the southwest coast of the state. It’s named for the three distinct sections of reef/point setup that create a variety of waves, so conditions can suit different levels depending on the day and swell.

• Type: Reef/point-style break
• Wave quality: Can be very good, especially when a solid swell lines up with light offshore winds
• Break sections: Typically referred to as First, Second, and Third Bear
• First Bear: Often the most user-friendly and smaller of the three
• Second Bear: More powerful and hollow at times
