Boiling Pot is a well-known surf spot on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia, located near Noosa Heads. It sits on the point between First Point and Fairy Pools, exposed to swell wrapping into the bay and reefy coastline.

What it’s like

Wave type: Mostly a point/reef break
Best for: Experienced surfers
Wave character: Long, fast, and often powerful with a clean, peeling face on the right swell
Conditions: Works best with small-to-medium southeast swells and light offshore winds

Why it’s called Boiling Pot

The name comes from the churning, turbulent water that can form over the reef and rocks near the point, especially when swell is running and water is moving through the area.
