Toads

Toads is a lesser-known surf break in Sydney South, New South Wales, on the south side of Sydney’s coast. It’s generally considered a reef/point-style local spot rather than an easy beach break, and it tends to suit surfers who are comfortable reading the conditions and handling a faster, more powerful wave.

Typical character

• Wave type: Usually a short, punchy reef break with clean, hollow sections when the swell and wind line up.
• Best swell: Works best on swell from the southeast to south.
• Best wind: Usually wants light offshore or very light winds for clean faces.
