Ours

Ours is a surf break in Sydney South, New South Wales, on the southern side of Botany Bay / the Sydney coastline area, depending on how it’s being locally referenced. It’s generally known as a high-quality local reef break with a reputation for being powerful, fast, and fairly serious when it’s on.

What it’s like

Ours tends to produce clean, lined-up right-hand and/or left-hand sections depending on the exact peak and swell direction. When conditions are right, it can offer longer rides and barrel potential, but it’s not usually a soft, beginner-friendly wave. The takeoff can be sudden and shallow, so timing and confidence are important.

• Tide: Often performs best around a mid tide, though this depends on the specific sand/reef setup
