Killcare Triangle is a small, exposed surf break on the Central Coast of New South Wales near Killcare / Hardys Bay, south of Newcastle. Despite the “Newcastle” tag some surf guides use for the broader region, it’s actually on the Central Coast rather than in the city of Newcastle itself.

What it’s like

Type of break: Reef / point-style wave over a rocky bottom
Wave character: Can be punchy, hollow at times, and fairly inconsistent
Best for: Intermediate to advanced surfers, depending on size and conditions
