Austinmer Beach is a scenic surf spot on the Illawarra / Coal Coast of New South Wales, about an hour south of Sydney. It sits in a small coastal village framed by headlands, rock shelves, and a grassy foreshore, giving it a classic NSW south coast beach-town feel.

Austinmer is a beautiful, accessible local surf beach with a relaxed holiday-town atmosphere. It’s not usually known as a world-class wave, but when the sandbanks line up it can be a very enjoyable, playful surf spot.
