Constitución, Argentina (North) is a well-known surf area on the Buenos Aires coast, especially around the north side of the town of Mar del Plata / northern coastal stretch near the Constitución district. It’s not a tropical, mellow beginner beach—this is a powerful Atlantic beach break that can offer good waves when conditions line up.

What it’s like

• Wave type: Mostly beach break
• Power: Can be strong and hollow, especially in better swells
• Best swell direction: Typically works well with South and Southeast Atlantic swells
• Wind: Often best with offshore or light NW winds; strong onshore winds can mess it up quickly
• Bottom: Sand, so the sandbars can shift and the peaks can move around
