Cabo Corrientes surf spot description

Location: Central Atlantic coast of Argentina, at the southern end of Mar del Plata.
Wave type: Mostly beach breaks and some reef/rock influence nearby.
Best conditions: Works with southeast or east swell and favorable offshore winds, often from the west/northwest.
Wave quality: Can offer clean, fast, punchy waves, especially when the sandbars line up well.
Crowd: Usually busy, since it’s close to the city and one of the most well-known surf zones in Mar del Plata.
Skill level: Can suit intermediate to advanced surfers depending on the size and power of the day.
Hazards: Currents, rocks in some sections, and changing sandbanks.

Surf feel

Cabo Corrientes is more of an urban, accessible surf spot than a remote one. When conditions are good, it can produce fun, hollow waves, but it’s highly dependent on swell direction and wind.
